I Got Featured on One of the UK's Top Business Podcasts (Imposter Syndrome and All)
# I Got Featured on One of the UK's Top Business Podcasts (Imposter Syndrome and All) I'd been following Steph Melodia and her podcast Strategy & Tragedy for a while before she invited me on. And I mean *properly* following it — not just the occasional LinkedIn like. I'm talking sitting on my sofa genuinely gripped by her conversations with founders like Anna-Sophie Hartvigsen, who took Female Invest from the brink of bankruptcy to being featured in Forbes 30 Under 30, and Sir Richard Harpin, who built HomeServe into a FTSE 100 company from an idea and a direct mail campaign. Real stories. Real lows. None of the sanitised LinkedIn version. So when the invite landed, I said yes immediately. Obvs. Then spent the next few days quietly wondering what on earth I'd gotten myself into. (I was about halfway through my MSc at the time — imposter syndrome was not exactly absent from my life.) But here's the thing about imposter syndrome: it's loud, it's annoying, and it is absolutely not a reason to turn down a seat at a table you've been trying to get to. So I showed up. ## What we talked about Steph doesn't do warm-up questions. We got straight into it — what 10+ years in recruitment actually teaches you about people, the psychology of motivation, why so many organisations are still getting employee engagement spectacularly wrong, and the honest version of what building a business looks like. Not the highlight reel. The full picture. It's the kind of conversation I think a lot of people need to hear — especially if you're at a point in your career where you're questioning what you've built, what comes next, and whether you're actually as far behind as you feel. *(Spoiler: you're probably not. But we'll get to that.)* --- *Waddyado is a psychology-led platform built for mid-career professionals ready to figure out what's next — with actual support, not just a job board. But the themes we covered — identity, what drives us, what the system gets wrong about career transitions — are so central to why Waddyado exists that it felt wrong not to put it in front of the people it might actually help. That's you, if you're reading this. ## Watch the full episode 👉 [Watch on YouTube](https://youtu.be/oJ7dljhNkto?si=GKSN2cWzMENVdI6V) --- *Want to know where you actually are in your career reinvention — and what to do next?
